3/1/2023 EnchantaVaughn Approved 1.Behavior: QMHP-C arrived to the home of Ben-Nita. Upon arrival to the home, Ben-Nita appeared to be in a good mood as evidenced by her laughing and joking around with her mother in the other room.Mother reported bouts of Anger outburst. QMHP-C informed Ben-Nita that todayâs session would continue to focus on anger management and identifying responses that are cues that a person may be upset. 2. Behavior: Ben-Nita participated in the session without incident. Ben-Nita continues to struggle with being able to control her anger due to the information presented throughout the session by he mother. As a result, todays session will focus on such. 1. Intervention: QMHP-C started off the session by having a generalized conversation with Ben-Nita. QMHP-C modeled active listening and engaged Ben-Nita in open-ended questions. QMHP-C embedded humor in the conversation in order to have Ben-Nita feel more comfortable. QMHP-C reviewed the previous session with Ben-Nita and processed with Ben-Nita that todayâs session was going to be based on anger management due to Ben-Nita having difficulties controlling her anger. 2. Intervention: QMHP-C processed with Ben-Nita that the first step in solving any problem is to recognize that a problem exists and to identify it. QMHP-C sat down with Ben-Nita and identified the specific aggressive behaviors that she wanted to learn to control more effectively. QMHP-C gave Ben-Nita a list of aggressive behaviors, both verbal and physical, that a person may exhibit and encouraged her to circle or underline the aggressive behaviors that she has had in the past. 1. Response: Ben-Nita was receptive to QMHP-Csâ intervention. Ben-Nita used humor throughout the session as well, but she was serious when she needed to be. Ben-Nita did not have any issues informing QMHP-C as to identifying when there is a problem. Ben-Nita provided QMHP-C numerous examples pertaining to the topic of discussion. Ben-Nita informed QMHP-C that sheâs always going to have an issue with someone if they start talking about her family or try to fight one of her family members 2. Response: Ben-Nita expressed that she might not get along with her family all the time, but when it comes down to it, sheâll do anything she can to have their back. Ben-Nita admitted that she wants to control the amount of profanity she uses when she gets angry, name-calling, and disrespectful talk. Ben-Nita agreed to working on controlling these behaviors as she was able to give some effective ways that she might be able to deal with them.
